Product Description

1. Product Overview

The GTS-Pro Rack Series 6–20kVA brings the dual-input architecture of the GTS-Pro Tower Series into the rack cabinet — and then goes further, spanning three distinct physical chassis heights within a single product family. GSS built-in models (GSS06RB-P, GSS10RB-P) occupy 2U at 172mm; GSS long-run models (GSS06RL-P, GSS10RL-P) fit in 1U at 86mm; and GTS long-run models (GTS10RL-P, GTS15RL-P, GTS20RL-P) sit in 4U at 174mm. This range of rack footprints means the GTS-Pro Rack can fit wherever space is available — a slim 1U slot, a standard 2U bay, or a dedicated 4U allocation — while maintaining a consistent feature set across the entire family.

The feature set is what differentiates the GTS-Pro Rack from the base GTS Rack Series. A 4.3-inch color touch screen provides immediate, hands-on parameter access at the rack face. Digital charging with active battery monitoring tracks cell health in real time. An ECO mode reaching 98% efficiency reduces the long-run energy cost of 24/7 rack UPS operation. Auto fault waveform recording captures electrical data at the moment of any fault. And an optional 12A charger upgrade shortens the battery recovery window after discharge — all in a rack unit that accepts either single-phase (L-N) or three-phase (L-L) input depending on the sub-series.

2. Key Features

  • One Family, Three Rack Heights — 1U, 2U, and 4U in a Single Product Line: No other product in the GOTTOGPOWER rack UPS range spans 1U, 2U, and 4U chassis heights simultaneously. GSS RL models at 1U serve racks where every unit counts; GSS RB models at 2U accommodate built-in batteries without external battery cabinets; GTS RL models at 4U deliver three-phase-input 10–20kW capacity. A site can standardize on GTS-Pro Rack across different rack types and load requirements without managing multiple product families.
  • 4.3-Inch Color Touchscreen on the Rack Face: Unlike the GTS Rack Series which has no front-panel display, every GTS-Pro Rack model provides a 4.3-inch color touch screen at the front panel. In a dense rack environment, having UPS parameters, alarms, and battery status visible and adjustable directly from the rack face — without connecting a laptop, opening a web browser, or walking to a remote monitoring station — saves real maintenance time.
  • Dual Input Sub-Series — GSS (L-N) and GTS (L-L) Under One Stock Family: GSS models accept 110–288VAC L-N (single-phase building supply); GTS models accept 190–499VAC L-L (three-phase infrastructure). A procurement team managing racks in both single-phase office areas and three-phase server halls can specify GTS-Pro Rack throughout, adjusting only the model suffix to match the available power feed — one part number family, two input worlds.
  • 98% ECO Mode — 24/7 Rack Energy Cost Reduction: In stable grid environments, ECO mode at 98% efficiency reduces conversion losses by a factor of 2–3* compared to normal online mode. For a UPS running 24/7 at 50% load, the difference between 95.5% and 98% efficiency translates directly into measurable annual energy savings — particularly significant in high rack counts or dense deployments where UPS losses aggregate at scale.
  • Digital Charging with Active Battery Monitoring: The GTS-Pro Rack's charging system monitors individual battery parameters continuously, adapting charge current to actual cell condition rather than following a fixed charge profile. In a rack environment where battery cabinets are often installed in constrained spaces and replacement requires planned downtime, knowing when battery health is declining — before it affects backup time — allows maintenance to be scheduled rather than forced.
  • Auto Fault Waveform Recording — Evidence at the Point of Failure: When a fault occurs in a densely populated rack, distinguishing between a grid event, a load-side fault, and a UPS internal issue from memory is unreliable. The GTS-Pro Rack's auto waveform recording captures the electrical state of both input and output at the moment of fault, giving maintenance engineers objective data to work from rather than reconstructed accounts.
  • Optional 12A Fast Charger — Configurable Recovery Speed: The standard 8A charging rate is suitable for most deployments. Sites that experience frequent power events — industrial environments, locations with unreliable grid supply, or high-cycling generator sites — can upgrade to 12A to reduce the time between discharge and full reserve recovery, keeping the backup window as large as possible between events.

3. Typical Applications

The GTS-Pro Rack serves deployments where the GTS Rack's capabilities are needed but the base model's absence of a front-panel display, ECO mode, or flexible chassis sizing creates a gap:

  • Mixed-Height Rack Deployments — One Family Across Multiple Rack Configurations: Data halls where some racks have 1U available and others have 4U, or where some racks are on single-phase office feeds and others are on three-phase server feeds, can standardize on GTS-Pro Rack throughout — selecting the appropriate model by chassis height and input type without switching to a different product family.
  • Energy-Conscious Rack Operations — ECO Mode for Always-On Infrastructure: IT operations teams with sustainability targets or energy cost pressures can deploy GTS-Pro Rack in ECO mode for racks carrying non-critical or load-stable workloads, capturing the 98% efficiency benefit while retaining full online protection for critical loads.
  • Healthcare Rack Rooms — Front-Panel Visibility for Clinical IT Staff: Hospital IT rooms are often managed by staff who are not power systems specialists. A 4.3-inch color touch screen that shows UPS status, battery level, and alarm codes in plain language at the rack face reduces the training burden and response time when a UPS event occurs in a clinical environment.
  • Finance & Trading Infrastructure — Digital Battery Monitoring for Planned Maintenance: Financial infrastructure teams that schedule quarterly UPS maintenance windows benefit from digital battery monitoring that flags degrading cells in advance, allowing battery replacement to be planned for the scheduled window rather than triggered by an unexpected capacity failure.
  • Industrial Edge — Generator-Compatible Input with Fast Recovery Charging: Industrial sites on generator backup can use GTS (L-L) sub-series models for three-phase generator feeds, with the optional 12A charger to rebuild battery reserves quickly between generator test runs or real outage events.
  • Broadcast & Production Rack Infrastructure — Waveform Evidence for Power Events: In live broadcast and production environments where power events during a show must be diagnosed quickly and reported accurately, the GTS-Pro Rack's auto fault waveform recording provides a timestamped electrical record of exactly what happened and when — an asset for post-event analysis and equipment insurance claims.

5. Certifications & Compliance

The GTS-Pro Rack Series is tested against IEC 62040-3 for UPS performance classification. THDu values are measured per IEC 62040-3 methodology for both linear load (≤1%) and non-linear load (≤5%) conditions. ECO mode operation and normal mode operation are both within the IEC 62040-3 performance class boundaries, confirming that the efficiency improvement from ECO mode does not compromise the UPS's certified output quality classification.

6. Interfaces & Optional Accessories

Standard Interfaces

RS232 and RS485 are standard on all seven GTS-Pro Rack models. The 4.3-inch front-panel touchscreen handles local parameter access and status display directly, so RS232 and RS485 are reserved for system-level integration: RS232 for graceful shutdown software and local UPS management applications, RS485 for Modbus RTU integration with BMS and DCIM infrastructure that aggregates UPS data alongside PDU, environmental, and cooling measurements.

Optional Accessories

  • SNMP Card — adds IP network monitoring via SNMP, giving DCIM and NMS platforms remote access to the same UPS parameters visible on the 4.3-inch front panel, including battery state, per-phase input measurements (GTS sub-series), and ECO mode status.
  • Dry Contact Board — isolated relay outputs for generator start/stop signaling, fire suppression interlocks, and BMS alarm integration, complementing the RS485 data interface with hard-wired control signals for safety-critical systems that require a physical relay rather than a data protocol.
  • Parallel Kit — N+1 redundant parallel operation, scaling total single-phase output power from the available three-phase or single-phase infrastructure by adding GTS-Pro Rack units in parallel rather than replacing individual units.
  • 12A Charger Module — upgrades the battery recharge rate from 8A to 12A for the RL long-run models, reducing post-discharge recovery time and the window during which the UPS has less than full battery reserve.
  • APP / Wi-Fi / Bluetooth — mobile wireless access to UPS parameters and alarms, supplementing the front-panel touchscreen for situations where the rack is not easily accessible or when initial commissioning requires monitoring multiple racks simultaneously from a single device.
